You’ll discover new acting skills and continue to improve your stage craft through a series of dynamic and challenging activities. They’re fun, we promise!

Learn how to communicate ideas on stage with and without dialogue and, discover more about the elements of drama and how they combine to make an engaging performance.

Taught by NESA (NSW Educational Standards) accredited teachers.

Meet Your teacher

Alicia Osland BT/BA
Tutor: Intermediate and Extension Classes

Alicia has expertise and qualifications in a variety of creative arts skills which she uses confidently to enrich the goals of Upstage Youth Theatre. She has a university degree in Bachelor of teaching/Bachelor of arts, with a Creative Arts Drama major. She has completed 9 years of drama training, enjoys directing performances for primary aged children and has significant experience performing in productions herself at Upstage Youth Theatre, S.N.A.P. productions, Maitland Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Film work with Sydney Film Company.

She has completed voice training for 8 years with a distinction average in ‘Singing for Leisure’ musical theatre exams and has much experience in participating in musicals. She is also dance trained with experience in teaching dance to primary aged children.  Her drama expertise saw her chosen, three years in a row, to teach at a NSW Department of Education and Training (Now the NSW Department of Education and Communities) Video Workshop for both high school and primary school aged students. This workshop at the University of Newcastle required skills in direction, production, camera use, editing, drama teaching and the management of pupils to produce a short film for an audience.
